Iris Prize Festival Opening Night

Opening night features not one but four amazing short films.

After our opening performance of Iris and Me, join us in Cineworld for our opening night screening. Kicking off our 10th Anniversary celebrations in style, opening night features not one but four amazing short films!
This will include the world premiere of Kill Pill by previous Best British Short winner Lloyd Eyre-Morgan and Co written by Neil David Ely. Look out for guest appearances on the night from some of Kill Pill’s fantastic cast- including Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson. We’ll also be screening BAFTA Cymru-nominated Iris Prize production Spoilers by Brendon McDonall, and When A Man Loves A Woman. Written by Katie White and directed by Charlie Francis, this is the latest from 2014 Iris Prize Best British winning team from Scotland. The programme is rounded out with another World Premiere – Afiach, a new Welsh language short written by Bethan Marlow and directed by Carys Lewis is the first production from our Straeon Iris scheme.
Join us in the Park Inn Hotel for the official opening party of the 10th Iris Prize Festival, enjoy a glass of champagne on arrival and party into the small hours with our resident DJ’s: Sissy Boy Tears
