IRIS PRODUCTIONS
2 short films have been produced to date in collaboration with the winning filmmakers of the Iris Prize. The third short film is currently in post production having completed principal photography in September 2011 and is scheduled for completion in February 2012 with the fourth short film in development and estimated to go into production in 2012.
The Iris Prize enables the winning filmmaker to make their next short film in the UK with a budget of around £25,000. The winner of the inaugural Iris Prize – American filmmaker Dee Rees - returned to Cardiff to make her short film Colonial Gods. The 2008 prize winner, Germany’s Till Klienert, recently completed his short Boys Village, and the 2009 winner, Eldar Rapaport, is in production on his short film Little Man.
The winner of this year's prize will be the fifth filmmaker to make their next short film in the UK courtesy of Iris.
