Below are the members of the International Jury for the Iris Prize 2009.
Joseph Galliano (Jury Chair)
Joseph Galliano is a freelance journalist, former editor of Gay Times magazine and the editor of Dear Me, a forthcoming book of celebrity letters being published by Simon and Schuster. His work has appeared in The Times, the Guardian and I.D. and he is also the holder of a coveted Film Studies A Level. His favourite film is, rather predictably, Citizen Kane and he lives in South London with his boyfriend and window boxes.
Mark Brown
Mark Brown is arts correspondent of the Guardian, a newspaper he has worked for over the last 13 years in various roles including assistant news editor and arts editor. Born in Blyth, Northumberland, Brown graduated from Warwick University and cut his journalistic teeth as news editor of local evening papers in such glamorous locations as Barrow, Gloucester and Carlisle. He lives happily in London and France with his partner who, conveniently, is also called Mark.
Paul Burston
Paul Burston is an author, award-winning journalist, curator at Southbank and promoter of 'London's peerless gay literary salon' Polari. Jason Bushman
Jason once described himself as a Scorpio homosexual yogi filmmaker spending his time between Silverlake, California and Paris, France. He has been acting since he was a young child but after graduating from UCLA he focused his attention on writing screenplays. Jason returns to Cardiff with Hollywood je t’aime his first feature.
Till Kleinert
Born 1980, Till grew up in Berlin and never lived anywhere else. After finishing school in 2000 he worked as an intern at the Volksbühne theatre and as a sausage vendor opposite the KaDeWe. Since 2004 he studies directing at the dffb film school. Over the years he wrote and directed several award winning shorts.
Florencia Manovil
Florencia Manóvil is a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, who moved to the U.S. at 18 to study film. She eventually ended up making a home in San Francisco, California, which fosters plenty of queerness and creativity. She shot her first feature, "Fiona's Script", in 2008, and is in pre-production for her second.
Matthew Montgomery
DNA Magazine's Leading Man of Gay Cinema, Matthew Montgomery has gone on to create a consistent career for himself within the independent film market. Within the gay genre, Matthew has starred in several features including Socket and Back Soon and will soon star in Pornography and Redwoods. He has produced four feature films, most recently Make the Yuletide Gay and is in development with his first feature film, Sticke Figures, under the aegis of his production company Proteus Pictures. Daniel Robinson
Daniel Robinson is a singer, actor, dancer, choreographer and film maker whose passion is to inspire and entertain. Previous projects include the European Tour of Grease, The North American Tour of Oklahoma! and the Broadway Company of Hairspray. Currently he dominates the web with short films fusing his two passions; dance and film with ModernMovementMedia.com. Amelia Shankland and Muirelle Wilson
Amelia Shankland and Muirelle Wilson do it all in the name of love. As an out gay couple they work together designing and art directing film and television dramas. They have worked on many popular and award winning shows, the most notorious of which C4's 'Skins' lead to the Royal Television Society's Award for Drama Production Design.

Pascal-Alex Vincent
Pascal-Alex started directing short films in 2001. In 2005, his fourth short film, "Baby Shark", was part of the Official Selection of the Cannes Film Festival. Two years later, he was back in Cannes with "Candy Boy" (2007), a short animation film selected for the Director's Fortnight.
His first feature film "Give Me Your Hand" (2009), a French-German co-production inspired by the famous road-movies of the 70's, has been selected by film festivals around the world.
