Iris is more than a prize and a festival – Iris is a global family which is growing. This section of the website is a portal for news and information about our partner festivals, the Iris alumni, sponsors and the Friends of Iris.
Iris has 18 partner festivals located in 12 countries – these are film festivals from around the world that have their fingers on the pulse of upcoming gay and lesbian film-making talent. Each partner festival nominates one short film to compete for the annual prize, added to the shorts selected through open submission and we believe that Iris represents the best of the best.
The Iris alumni is growing and includes feature film and short film-makers, members of the international jury, media contacts and visitors to the annual festival. This is the place to find the latest gossip - just look at the Blog. The more formal news can be found in the news section which is updated by our network of global contributors.
