Daniel Ribeiro’s 2011 Iris Prize winning film I Don’t Want To Go Back Alone will form the centre piece of a collection of short films due to screen at Kashish – Mumbai’s International Queer Film Festival later this month. The programme of four films from Brazil, UK, Ireland and Thailand/US delighted the International Jury of Cardiff’s International Gay and Lesbian Short Film Prize.
“Iris is thrilled to be working with our partner festival in India. The pioneering work of Kashish is an inspiration to everybody who is committed to sharing LGBT stories with the wider community. I am delighted that the Best of Iris 2011 collection of award winning short films will secure an audience in Mumbai. I’m also proud that the relationship is two way and look forward to watching the short film nominated by Kashish for the 2012 Iris Prize,” said Iris Prize Founder, Berwyn Rowlands.
The Best of Iris 2011 will screen on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 5.00pm at Cinemax, Mumbai, India.
