Iris visits Sundance 2008
Organisers of the Iris Prize will be attending the Sundance Film Festival from 17 – 22 January 2008. The visit will be an opportunity for the organisers to congratulate and meet Dee Rees, the 2007 Iris Prize winner. Her winning film Pariah has been officially selected for Sundance 2008.
"I’m so excited about meeting Dee Rees, the 2007 Iris Prize winner. It’s great that other festivals like Sundance are recognising her talent" said Berwyn Rowlands.
"The Iris Prize is primarily a short film competition; however the three day festival in Cardiff (UK) includes feature films, panel discussions and parties. Visiting such a renowned and established event like the Sundance Film Festival is a fantastic way to get new ideas, meet new partners and sponsors. We need to spread the word that Iris is here and increase her already impressive network of supporters and friends" said Berwyn Rowlands.
Film makers, journalists, festival organisers and companies who would like to know more about the Iris Prize and would like to arrange a meeting with a member of the Iris team at the Sundance Film Festival should contact Berwyn Rowlands (pictured above) by emailing berwyn@irisprize.org.
