Queer Screen Vision

Queer Screen is a community, cultural, non profit organisation whose main aim is to celebrate and promote Australian and international queer screen culture in all its diversity and richness.

To achieve this aim, Queer Screen produces an annual program highlighted with three main events during the year.

• Mardi Gras Film Festival - the biggest event on Queer Screen’s calendar.

• My Queer Career - the Australian and New Zealand queer shorts competition held during the Mardi Gras Film Festival.

• queerDOC- the international documentary film festival is presented in September.

The annual Mardi Gras Film Festival is the largest lesbian and gay film festival in Australia and one of the top five in the world. The Festival has a growing reputation as an international market and showcase for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender screen culture. The 15th festival runs from 14 - 28 February, 2008.
