Iris Prize LGBT+ Film Festival – Online & Free

From the 6 – 11 October, the entire Iris Prize LGBT+ Film Festival is available for free. Films and other events will be released gradually through the week. You can explore the schedule here.

Livestream events

Some films and events during the festival will stream live. You can identify these in the programme labelled as LIVESTREAM.

These include shows which we actually broadcast live, such as our Iris Live! show each evening.

Watch Along programmes also stream live. These are the very first time you can watch each short film programme. There will be an interactive chat room at the side of the screen so you will be able to send and read messages from other people who are also watching the screening. This also means that if you tune in 5 minutes after the start time, it will be 5 minutes into the programme – just imagine you are watching BBC1!

All screenings which have a live “Watch Along” are available on demand straight after the live screening.

On Demand events

All films, programmes and events that are labelled ON DEMAND are available for free from 10am on the day of their release until 11.45pm on Sunday 11 October. Films are accessible at any time during this period.

All short film programmes and feature films are available within the UK only.

Iris Prize LGBT+ Film Festival – Catch-Up

From 12 – 31st October 2020, the festival programme will be available on demand. During the festival catch-up period, you can purchase individual tickets to screenings or a pass to access multiple screenings.

Some events will remain free, including the Iris Live! programmes, so you can catch-up on what happened during the festival week.

Here at the Iris Prize LGBT+ Film Festival we are passionate about film and sharing of LGBT+ stories with as many people as possible. We do not censor the films submitted to us by new and developing talent, and our pre-selection panels and partner festivals choose films based on the content and excellence in storytelling. At times the content of some of our films may be challenging or open discussion about subjects that viewers may not have considered before. We encourage respectful, positive, constructive and thought-provoking conversations (and listening to these) both at our physical festival and in any online activity. Any abusive language in these conversations will not be tolerated.

Read our full Code of Conduct here.
